Packing

Plan the packing before production ends.

Shape, protection and store-by-store labelling need to be part of the project brief.

Agree how the display will arrive

Decide whether the display arrives assembled or in parts. Check the receiving area, unloading arrangements and any limits on carton size or weight before the packing format is fixed.

Protect the visible surfaces

Identify scratch-sensitive faces, projecting corners and loose components. Protection and internal supports should suit the actual product. A carton photograph is not evidence of a tested packing specification.

Label parts for the person unpacking

For multiple stores or versions, link the store reference, part number and carton number. Keep an item list with the order so the recipient can identify components without opening every box.

Separate dispatch from delivery

Confirm the destination, transport arrangements, required documents and handover responsibilities. Production completion, carrier collection and arrival are different milestones; the required arrival date should be stated in the enquiry.

General production guidance. The agreed drawings, material specification and quotation define your order.
